Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Conform: To become or be like
Pattern: To Model/Vision or view point
Transformed : Change, metamorphis
Renew: To make new, refresh, restore, rebuild.
To Restate:
DO NOT BE LIKE the Model, VIEW POINT or vision of this World. BUT be changed or made into something new by the refreshing, rebuilding or restoring of your mind.
How are we refreshed, renewed or made new?
Through the washing of the word of God.
Ephesians 5: 26
Jesus is the Word, He is the Way, He is the Truth and He is the life. John 14:6
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh. John 1:1
JESUS IS THE WORD. Model yourself, your view point and become meta-morphed by the restoring, rebuilding or refreshing of your mind through the Word...through Jesus, the Word. He is God's son, believe in Him (The Word) in whom God is well pleased. (Matt: 13:7)
Want to know the will of God? Want to know how to Please God? Believe what the Word says. "Hear Ye Him" (Matt 17:5) follow it, be instructed by it, be trained in it. Let it change you.
